Match report On a scorching hot day at the Odney club with an Early start the cricket God's were not smiling on the 4s

Stand in captain Mark won the toss and that was about the only thing we led in all day. Opting to bat after last weeks performance unfortunately we couldn't repeat. We were 4-3 in 4 overs. They had an excellent opening bowler in a Lemon. Last minute stand in Usman tried his best scoring 24 with one nice 6 but wickets kept falling. Adi went to a catch dropped by the keeper but caught by gully and that sums up our luck. Mark went first ball for the second game running. Feroz batted well to help with 20 but no one could push on. Some 4s were scored by Uzair and Talha but in 21 overs we were bowled out for 90.
In bowling a total of 90 is always hard to defend. Young Awais bowled well for his 5 overs with no luck. It was Talha who got our wicket with a lovely quick first over. If he buys some whites he'll look the part!!! In 14 overs though Cookham had made the target.

Next week is a fresh start vs Ruislip 2s at Mercian Way
