Match report Once everyone worked out which Kew ground we were playing Captain Timmy won the toss and chose to bowl..... with 6 players.....hmmmm change of mind, we'll bat!

Returning Sahib opened with Taimoor and played as if he'd been there all year! Looking comfortable he went quickly to 50 in 39 balls as he and Taimoor put on 83 in 14 overs. Sahib was out to a wonder catch on 66 having batted really well. From then on it was a case of everyone chipping in. Taimoor was out on 16 but following him we had Idris hit 21, Clive hit 33, Abu 24, James 17 and Augi 22no. We got a bit lucky with some dropped catches that ended up injuring the opposition with one ending up with a lump on his head and the other popping back in a dislocated finger. We also had a comical ball bowled that went miles high and landed off the square. After much debate it was called a no-ball and Abu indeed converted the free-hit for 6. At the end though we fell off what at one stage looked like it might be 300. we went from 229-5 to 250 all out including a bizarre run out at the non-strikers end! Target of 250 though we felt confident with and it proved well found.

Following a quick tea we went back out and found Maz in the form he's been in for us all year. Maz was bowling wicket to wicket - with the odd down leg side - but batsmen 1-5 all fell to maz including 4 bowled. Ben supporting at the other end was generating good pace but with no luck. With them both bowled out it was left to Ayaz and Mark to finish the job. A few of their lower order tried a spirited fight back but Ayaz took one and then Mark got the skipper to a great ben catch - one of his 3 for the day. And then Mark finished the last two off in two balls for us to win by 114 runs.
