Bracknell v Stoke Green Cricket Club 2nd XI on Sat 23 Apr 2016 at 13:00
Stoke Green Cricket Club Lost by 55 runs
Match report
First game of the year for the 2s saw the skipper absent for the poor reason of getting married and going on honeymoon, a mix of 2s and 3s, youth and experience went to Bracknell to find their mower had broken meaning when you stood in the outfield you couldn't actually see your ankle. Stand in Skipper Mark lost the toss and was put in the field, scoring was slow as the ball simply couldnt roll through the outfield at all. Only 2 of their players scored double figures and the 56 by Jitendra proved to be a winning knock as he by-passed the grass to smash some 6s. The bowling performance of note was from Augi, strangely bowling full and straight to take 5 for only 12 runs, Maz also pitched in with 3-12. Their total of 125 looked a tough one to chase
In reply the scoring was slower and more painful in the cold of the evening, only Tim got into double figures hitting 26 as the GReen were bowled out for 70 in 36 overs.
Not a great start losing by 55 runs but at least the season is under way!
