Marlow 3 v Stoke Green Cricket Club 3rd XI on Sat 22 Aug 2015 at 12:30
Stoke Green Cricket Club Won by 133 runs
Match report
Visiting lowly Marlow the Turds were looking to keep up their promotion push with the aim being 25 points. And promtly delivered! Tossing better than his opponent James batted first and after looking Harry early, Idris decided today was the day for a big score. In a classy knock not seen amongst many in the club this season he hit 135, ably supported by Vijay with 34 and Adeel 21, the score rose to 166-2 and then with a few wickets falling at the end around Idris still scoring we happily declared on 220.
After a tea left out for the whole game - and so egg mayonnaise sandwiches strategically avoided - the bowlers took to their business. Billy and Charlie opened and Billy finally got his first wickets of the season with him and Charlie both getting 2 early wickets each and then the wickets just kept on falling - Marlow only had 2 scores in double figures with extras being 2nd top scorer overall. Augi got 2 and then Adeel finish it all off with 4 wickets in 3 overs with only skippy missing out! A fine win and the 25 points required to stay in touch with 2nd and 3rd place in the league
