Match report The refurbishment of Sefton's pavilion is complete, which meant we had some changing facilities. However it took skippy some time to get the team in as their new found love of exhibitionism was strong. Skippy went out to the pitch with the oppo captain. We had a good old chat about the league and the strengths of the teams, and with that the oppo won the toss, and with his very weak team decided to bat first?????? We can only assume that after the last game where our 'lack' of spinners took 9 wickets between them they didn't wish to suffer the same fate twice.
Skippy informed Augi 'Hakuna Matata' Kuthokathen and CJ McHoldship that they would be opening the bowling, keeping Katherine the Princess of Lesbania and his own Spinless spin twin in reserve.
We started very well taking some quick wickets for not a lot of runs. Augi and Charlie taking some early wickets including that of the oppo captain who was caught at slip by our very own Skippy off the bowling of Mr. Tata.
Charlie finished his spell with wickets on his last 2 balls leaving him on a hat-trick in the next match.
Mark and Greg came on next and quickly finished the tail off, bowling Hillingdon out for 63 in just over 21 overs.
After tea skippy sent out Iddy and Simon. Idris smashed a quick 45 before being caught out playing a pretty sloppy shot, unlucky mate. Harry the Badman Barnett came in next, and then left again after prodding one back to the bowler. Arjun was next in and finished the game off quickly.
Overall a very good team effort again. Good in the field which built pressure to score which in turn helped the bowlers. Skippy took 3 slip catches :D and Augi, Greg and Charlie bowled devastating spells taking 3 wickets each for not a lot of runs. And of course well batted Idris to get us most of the way there. A 50 chasing 63 would have been special.
