Match report On a glorious sunny day where both the first and Second teams had secured wins, we were at Bearwood college securing maximum points for the outcome of our game against Wokingham 5.

After winning the toss I elected to bat first. Taimoor and Idris went in to bat and started of in a slow and mature way to build the foundation of our innings. Taimoor played a mature and responsible innings and was first to get his Fifty after drinks, but was quickly out LBW thus his scored remained 50 runs.
In went Osama who started of in a mature way and opened up scoring freely and with ease. Idris reached his 50 and also started to open up and started to score at faster rate. After playing some real classy shots Osama gets his 50 and and soon departs on 52. With 2 overs to go I went in at number and after 4 balls was quacking my way back to the pavillion with another duck to my name. Idris finished the innings and scores a superb 87 not out after batting the full 47 overs, well done Idris.

So having posted 235 for 3 we went to tea happy and proud of our batting performance.

After tea we went out to field and opted to use the new ball straight away. Greg the Soke Greens BFG started his spell being hit for 4 on his second ball... but replied with a cracker of a ball nipping back in to remove the bails and dismissing the Woking captain. Opening from the other end was the swing Mughal..(Aqib),he quickly despatched the other opener with a bowl that swung in to the right hander, the batsmen had no chance. The wickets started to fall and the team was in good spirits... then came in the blockers...!!
Having bought on Osama who bowled with super pace but was erratic and Bilal who bowled with pace but was more accurate.. our mood was changing from positive to negative. So at the behest of Trevor I came on and got the breakthrough...knowing we had a chance now I bought Greg back on to finish of the tail and after real hard work Greg despatched the last blocker with well disguised slower bowl. Needing only one wicket to win and only 1 and 1/2 overs left we gave it our all... but full credit to their number 9 and 10 they manged to survive and earned themselves a draw.

So we walked away with 15 points and with super performances from Greg,Aqib and Bilal on the bowling front...Idris,Osama and Taimoor on the batting front... and Jonty Rhodes level of fielding from Harry!!!!
