Match report
After last weeks shocking result SGCC were looking to bounce back. The home team were put into bat where openers Nadeem Chowdhry (0) and Clive Bourne (4) were dismissed early leaving SGCC struggling on 8-2. Farhan Sheikh and Raja Gulfraz then provided a partnership of 56 to start the recovery. However, it was a partnership of 80 between Raja Ifraz and Steve McMullan that helped propel the score up to 210 as skipper Sukh Dhillon also provided a handy knock of 22.
In reply the away team got off to a poor start as they were reduced to 66-5 where bowlers Irham Mughal and Raja Ifraz took 5 wickets between them. However, it was a devastating second spell from brother Raja Gulfraz took 5 wickets for 3 runs as he finished on figures of 10.3-5-8-5. SGCC had now put their 6th win in the bag by winning by 111 runs allowing them to be 26 points clear of Burnham 3.
