Cookham Dean v Stoke Green Cricket Club Sunday XI on Sun 19 Jun 2011 at 14:00
Stoke Green Cricket Club Lost by 17 runs
Match report
The Sunday team had their first away game of the season where undefeated Farhan Sheikh looked to claim another win. SGCC were asked to bowl first where the home team got off to a poor start as Irham Mughal and colt Greg Batting ripped through the top order as they were reduced to 25-5. Cookham Dean then came back strongly to pummel on the runs where they finally were bowled out for 223.
In reply the away team got off to a decent start, however wickets fell regularly. It was a brave knock by Sukh Dhillon (84*) and a valuable innings of 40 by Bradley Quelch kept SGCC in the game. However, after Bradley Quelch was run out the tail was exposed and SGCC were finally bowled out for 206 falling 18 runs short of their target.
