Match report First match for the Sunday XI in 2011 and skipper Farhan Sheikh wanted to get off to a get start, and that they did.
The home team piled on the runs to finally finish on 264-5 after 40 overs. Colt Steve Hunter scored his first 50 in an adults game with Tim Gilham and Mahmood Akhtar provided valuable contributions. However it was Saud Ahmed who held the innings together, at a good run rate, scoring 92.
SGCC then managed to restrict the runs as Eversley only managed 164-7 off 40 overs with Mahmood Akhtar obtaining figures of 4-1-10-3.
