Yesterday turned out to be a fantastic day for the cricket club who hosted the MCC for the first time whilst celebrating 200 years since the first recorded match was played at our ground.
A big thank you to everyone who helped make the day a great occasion and too all the spectators who came down to support throughout the day. Even though The Greens lost out by 10 runs, it can be agreed it was a great game of cricket played in the right spirit.
We look forward to potentially hosting the MCC in the future.
Finally thank you to MCC for allowing us to play the fixture. It certainly was a privilege. MCC presented the Chairman, Trevor Clegg with a plaque to commemorate the historic occasion.
