Match report As skippy tossed in the way he tosses to win his 4th tossing contest in a row, some idiot arrived on crutches to observe - when the skippy tells you not to play football DONT play football. The 3s batted first Arjun decided edging once to the keeper wasnt enough so he did it twice and was given second time! Iffy and Idris both got starts but decided using the bat was over-rated and got bowled each in their 20s. The doc hit some lusty blows but succombed to one too many and was out to skier and Charlie decided he didnt fancy batting so edged on second ball. Harry went the way of Doc and hit 2 good boundaries and the was bowled and augi warned of the slow yorker was promtly bowled by..... a slow yorker! At 122-7 Skippy decided enough was enough - he was going to bat properly, and along with Vijay put on a partnership of 57 and a whole 24 overs. Vijay was finally out on 27 in the last over and Skippy decided his average was more important than a few extra runs so quickly ran out Tahir and Ashley in consecutive ball to be left 63no and a total set of 177.
When Chesham came out to bat Augi and Charlie opened and we dropped one opener and caught the other with octopus suction technology. Unforrtunately the dropped opener went on to hit 55 as after the first three of wickets we got bored for a while as they moved on to 104. The doc Puneet then came on to bowl and inbetween the regular wide suddenly surprised them with straight ones and took 3 wickets, though one was an excellent catch by Arjun. However the Green stalled at 7 down and couldnt get those last 3 wickets and saw Chesham get them 9 balls to spare. 24 wides truly did cost us!
