Stoke Green Cricket Club 3rd XI v Marlow 3 on Sat 20 Jun 2015 at 13:00
Stoke Green Cricket Club Won by 8 wickets
Match report
With rain in the air and stomachs already rumbling a plan was put in place for the visit of Marlow - win the toss, bowl them out cheap, knock off the runs, have an early tea and all before the rain comes! James with his cigar did his best Hannibal impression - "i love it when a plan comes together"
Toss won and Marlow inserted, Birthday Boy Charlie opened the bowling with immediate success and he and Augi proceeded to rip through their top order taking 4 and 3 wickets respectively, Charlie having 3 chances for his 5for but drops denied him! But James and Mark felt they were missing out here so came in to bowl out the tail and finished them off for only 54 (its how they always get their wickets!!!).
With no sign of tea yet the Green proceeded to go bat staight away and make easy work of knocking off the runs with only 2 down, though it must be said - Charlie was caught by a girl!
Tea arrived as the game ended and all from the Green ate to their hearts content with another 20 points in the bag
