On the what was reported as the hottestday of the year we were on route to NPL teddington to play Teddington 3.

After losing the toss they elected to bat and understanderbly the team moaned a bit, though I must admit the prospect of fielding for 3 hours in the heat did not sit very well with me either.

So out we went... Greg openeded the bowling with Abdullah (yes Abdullah!!!. First couple of the overs couple of runs nothing major. In Gregs 2nd over the left hander edged to Taimoor at Gully and what a catch just got his hands underneath but just like Broad he did not walk, the umpire did not have a clue and Clegg went of in one shouting at the batsmen "walk, just walk" but of course he did not (a close one I must admit) anyways after calming Trevor down we resumed and the wickets started to fall....
1st change and Taimoor made his bowling debut for the 3rds!!! I am sure the team had thought I had lost my marbles!!! But in his 3 overs with deliverys that collected ice as they were so high he got two easy wickets!!! And so the wickets continued to fall....till they were all out for 85.

Instead of going for early tea we batted and after losing 4 wickets we got the runs in 16 overs, well done to James for his quickfire 40.

So an easy 20 points and all home before 7!! Not a bad day for Stoke Green 3rds!!
