Stoke Green Cricket Club 1st XI v Henley 3 on Sat 27 Jul 2013 at 13:00
Stoke Green Cricket Club Won Won by 32 runs
Match report
HCC won the toss and put us in on a lightly damp and soft wicket.
Usama came back after 9 weeks to open with Hash. Kash batting well at 3 once again, getting 125*. He was supported well by Usama, Saud and Vish. The 4th wicket partnership between Kash and Vish was 110 runs.
This lead to a aggressive declaration after just 44 overs.
We went with the old ball on a wicket that was getting more and more placid. Saj got the opener in the first over caught well at short leg by the skipper.
The spin twins, Saj and Hash got through the overs quickly and caused their batmens troubles all the time. We weren't helped with too many four balls and a very easy paced wicket, but we grinded away and eventually bowled them out for 209.
Saj got his second 8 for in two weeks!
