Stoke Green Cricket Club Sunday XI v Datchet on Sun 24 Jul 2011 at 14:00
Stoke Green Cricket Club Won by 29 runs
Match report
Back to normality then for a Sunday after a brilliant day at Presidents'. Farhan Sheikh was back in the centre again as skipper against Datchet.
SGCC won the toss and batted first where they put on a good total of 241-8 in their 40 overs. This was a thanks to a controlled 50 from Irham Mughal as well as two explosive innings from skipper Farhan Sheikh (75) and Dan Simpson (57). Billy Hunter then chipped in with a quick 19 to finish the innings off.
In reply, Datchet got off to a struggling start as they were 62-4 off 12 overs. However, gutsy innings from Tom Jones and R.Williams allowed them back in the game, but wickets kept falling as they fell 29 runs short of their target.
